hello all
as the owner of a gxl prado built date 6/96 & with 160000 km so far i have never
experience a breakdown since ownership. the vehicle has its fair share of offroad
+towing a van. the only changes that i have done to this vehicle is to fit pedders
springs & shocks. nooooooooooooooooooooooow for the $64 question
have i been lucky or can i expect to reach 300000km without any major problems
any feedback will be helpful.

Prados have a generic problem with the air flow sensor due to melting varnish obstructing the hot wire reading, resulting in the vehicle almost grinding to a halt due to incorrect fuel mix. Easilky fixed if you know what the problem is. See your service manager!

Emu what do you think about the Prado like off road side of things. I'm looking at buying a TD 120 series prado just interested in what you think.

sorry rossco know little about 120 series.but what ive had read so far i
dont like the 17' tyres. 180l fuel tanks will come in handy outback &
they are lower to the ground than the 90 series & my choice would be
the petrol version. the xtra power & fair economy is hard to beat.
