Repairs are underway on sections of the Strzelecki Track where floodwaters have started to recede.
We are working with local contractors and traditional owners to inspect and repair roads where it is safe to do so.
Crews are working to reinstate access along the Strzelecki Track as soon as possible, however large parts along the Della Road section remain inundated.

The Strzelecki Track is still going to be out of action for at least 8 more weeks for tourist vehicles due to extensive damage caused by the flooding, with some sections of the track having over 4 metre deep washaways.

When the damaged sections have been repaired, there will be around 3 kilometres of single lane traffic only with stop lights at each end.
