For those of you contemplating using your OEM head unit and an AI box here is a picture of the Smartworld device in action on my GXL 300 Landcruiser.
Smartworld are now the recommended unit by Exploreoz.
I also purchased the carlinkit device last year when it was recommended by Exploreoz.
In summary, they both work very
well however the Smartworld device was much easier to setup, it also utilise's the entire screen (carlinkit has a strip on the side for app selection)
Smartworld has an Australian phone number for support if needed. Its answered by a human! No AI.
Whilst I have both devices I believe the Smartworld world device will now be my go to with the carlinkit as a backup if needed and occasionally used to keep it updated.
