Power steering pump

Hi,

My power steering pump has just developed a small leak, shaft seal I think. Anyone got one for sale??? GQ petrol 1991.

Or is it easy to fix?????

they dont just have one seal inside.

depends on your skill and if you have a diagram, at a power steering joint they do bench test and check all is well when they strip it down.

now depending on where your located and the rep of the people to do the job.

but bear this in mind telling them your paying cash often makes things a bit cheaper and taking it to a specialist does give piece of mind knowing its all well.

had mine done about 7 weeks back

cost $180 took them 4 hours and i was fitting back in the car.

Thanks for that. Were did you get yours done????? I've been quoted $260 just to overhaul it that's if the shaft is in good nick.

i got mine done at a power steering place in thomastown melbourne.

so if your in melbourne look up prestigious power steering in thomas town
