Is power steering for the 3.0l petrol same as VL

Hi,
Does anyone know if the power steering pump for the 3.0 litre petrol GQ patrol is the same as the VL commodore that had the same motor in (RB30)????? I know the alternator is the same. How can I
check this??

The motor is the same except for the aspiration. The VL is fuel injected whereas the RB30 runs a carby. So therefore they are not identical units. Accordingly the ancillaries may (or may not) vary.
Try wizzing down to the nearest car yard and have a look under the bonnet of one for sale, or try a wrecker's yard.
