Not happy with something on the 2025 EOTopo map? If it’s wrong, missing or unclear — tell us and we’ll fix it. Our focus is outback and regional roads/tracks, which we can only update when YOU or WE identify and manually correct changes in our proprietary topo dataset.
(Urban data comes from external sources like OSM.)

How to Submit
Open a Help Desk ticket ? Contact tab ? Help Desk ? select “Report a Map Error”.
Be specific. Screenshots help, but for missing tracks we need the actual GPX / Track Log (or a link). Screenshots from other maps aren’t enough unless the track is clearly visible on satellite imagery. If you drove it, send your GPX.

Explain exactly what’s wrong and what the correct detail should be. Clear details = faster fixes. We manage millions of km of tracks; vague reports often can’t be resolved.

Urban issues: don’t report residential streets, highways, estates, bridges, or main roads — these are updated automatically via OSM.

Other Useful Corrections
Add missing track/road names
Confirm correct sealed/unsealed surfaces
Mark PRIVATE tracks or remove incorrect private labels
Update access restrictions at locked gates
Remove internal private farm/station tracks where appropriate
(Many landholders ask us to keep certain tracks for operational use, e.g., bore runs, fencing, mustering.)

Important

Take off your “tourist blinkers”. EOTopo is used by emergency services, fire crews, police, mining companies, drillers, prospectors, station operators and more. Roads aren’t removed just because they aren't open to the "general public" — your feedback helps us improve labels, styles, and access clarity each edition.

We’re in final edits for EOTopo 2026 (release mid-January 2026). Please send reports ASAP to ensure they’re included.

Thanks — your input makes the maps better for everyone!

---Take off your “tourist blinkers”---

Great comment Michelle. So many people have blinkers on so it needed to be said.

Keep up the great work.

Looking for adventure.
In whatever comes our way.
