G'day everyone,
My family loves getting off the
grid, but keeping the
young ones safely entertained around the
campsite or on rough bush
trails can sometimes be a challenge. Traditional 50cc petrol dirt bikes are just too noisy and often frowned upon in many quiet
camping spots.
Do you think completely silent electric balance bikes (with proper
suspension) are the ultimate compromise for kids at
camping grounds? How do you guys manage kids' bikes when heading out bush?
Cheers,
Guy

Children’s brains are not fully developed. They have little sense when riding properly at speed in and out of other camps. Other campers will not hear them coming. Children panic, disaster happens. Keep them away. A big NO from me.

We took our kids
camping from a very early age.
They were entertained by themselves or interacted with us by observing and listening to nature and if we went anywhere, we used the good old "shanks pony" in other words we walked.
We also took card and board games etc, eye spy when driving.
When a little older they used good old-fashioned bikes that needed to be peddled and effort, good exercise, healthy too!
Now our kids take their kids, same philosophy. And with the advent of electronic games and videos available...our grandkids do was our kids did, look out the window, observe, ask questions or read a book
