If you are going to a username/password based system, this can be good as it will provide some form of control of users, hopefully retain the
high quality threads. What I have seen on other forums with user/password authentication is that certain individuals get quite self indulgent with
the number of posts, this has the effect of lots of posts at the expense of very little value...sometimes complete dribble.
