We want to do a trip early June through late July 2003 from
Burke & Wills Roadhouse to
Lawn Hill NP via
Gregory Downs then
back to
Gregory, north to
Burketown and then across to
Normanton.
Can anyone advise me if it is a reasonable expectation to tow a couple standard 16ft caravans (not off road capable) from Burke & Wills
Roadhouse along this route - prepared to take our time but don't want to wreck the vans - tow vehicles will have no worries but don't
know what these roads are like.
Like to hear from anyone who has done this trip Thanks

Mudguts, in June this year my wife and I went to
Lawn Hill on the way back to
Brisbane from the Kiimberley. We went from Booraloola to
Lawn Hill Station (via the "back" way - 4WD track) then to
Lawn Hill NP,
Gregory, Burke and Wills Roadhouse and back to
Brisbane on the black top. Apart form the 4WD track the other roads were suitable for a caravan. I can't speak for
Burketown and Normantown roads. Hope this helps.
