GQ diesel shudder

My 92 GQ diesel patrol has developed a shudder at moving off in reverse. The shudder feels as if its origin is at the left front somewhere and I'm thinking engine mounting. The reputable repairer in Broome had a look and confirmed it wasn't the clutch. He had experienced this symptom before and although the mounting in question did not look in poor condition, its replacement stopped the shudder in the customer's car. Does anyone have experience of this problem? My faithful trusty car has done 182,000 km since we bought her new.

Mike I had a 92 GQ diesel coil cab ute from new. I sold it 5 weeks ago with 380,000 km on the clock. 300,000 of those km were done on station roads where I lived. My GQ shuddered most of the time I had it but it never caused any probs. The only things I had to do to the car (apart from service) were new springs and shocks and the horn fell off in 10 years. A very strong car.
