G'day all.
not sure if this is the rifht place to ask, but im looking at putting a new head gasket on my MQ Patrol. I need to get hold of information such as what position to reset the vaves to, etc...
Any help would be much appreciated.

If you don't have a late model 4X answers of old will be hard to get.
Is it petrol or diesel and what engine size???
As far as valve setting the MQ you would be best getting the manual from a library as it costs nothing to borrow.

thanks mate, that sounds like a plan.
in any case, it's a 1984 turbo diesel i think 'SD33' is the engine model.
roughly 3.2/3.3L

Head gasket on an SD33 - should be an easy job, no traps that I know of. Just make sure that everything and every face is squeaky clean before the head goes back on.
Check for cracks in the head. Torque the head bolts up correctly. Should be a cake walk.
Old push rod motors like the SD33 are generally easy.
