Bit of a silly one, but what the hell??

I have one of those inside/outside temperature gauge things on the dash of my 88 Pajero, and the inside temp seems to be about 6 or 7 degrees too hot.

It is not a huge problem, but just a bit of an annoyance.

Is there a way to calibrate this unit to show the right temp?

If you don't get an answer here, try www.pajero.com.au. Someone there is sure to give you some good advice.

Not having seen what they look like, can you just gently bend the needle left or right so it reads the right temp?

If you hold the centre area so you dont sress the mechanisim and with a set of longnose pliers bend the needle around...

Cheers,

Glenn.

The positoin of the probe is the problem, the temp will be correct its just not the temp you want, if you move the probe you can get the air temp any where you care to place it. Eric.
