Hi all. A few yrs (25) ago while doing a around oz trip, I travelled from I think
it was Falls Creak to
Omeo. From what I can remember it was a dirt rd I never
see another traveller. It was a senic drive, I think it was across the
hill tops.
Can anyone tell me which road this was. Thanks Brian.

Brian it sounds like you were on the
Bogong High Plains road which loops around the Rocky Valley
Dam, past
Cope Hut, then down the
hill to Anglers Rest &
Omeo.
Certainly some great
views accross the top & along the Big River.
Cheers Craig.............

It sure does! We went round the big A a second time, 5 years after the first. (what a difference!) Met a
grey nomad who told me he'd been round 4 times. I asked what he was going to do when he finished this one. "Why, turn around and go back the other way of course!"

I agree with the others - we'll be travelling that way ourselves in 4 weeks time for our annual trip to the Blue Duck Inn at Anglers Rest. It is a lovely drive, still dirt and sometimes with lots of washaways, but not so empty any more!
Cheers
Anni
