Listening to my local aunty the other day and the topic of the graffiti on Niagra Dam wall came up. It seems they got there hands on a new type of cleaner and tested it on a small section which was sucessfull so the following weekend a group of voulanteers completed the job and the graffiti is now barely visible. I havnt seen the results but I will be heading up to Nambi n/e of Laverton tomorrow so hopefully I will get time to have a look

Glad to hear it's being cleaned up.
Did any of the vandals "volunteer" for the cleanup?
Or more to the point, did the organiser "volunteer" to be charged?

they didnt go into details. I doubt the offenders cleaned it up or were charged for it that would be to much like taking resposability. Besides another bus trip and day in the bush would be more than they deserved

Good point, another day out could be seen as a reward.
Though part of me really says they should clean up their own mess.

You should send a letter to your local member (yes waste of space and a waste of paper) Asking what happened to the "offenders"..

I'll buy 3x 3.0 GU if they got what they deserved.

"Sex Change Brothel Madam" now that's the first political candidate I've ever heard come from an honest line of work.

Can't understand what all the fuss is about - old Niagra Dam has had graffiti on it fer about the last 50 years and nobody gave a toss about it back then.

Must be someone "important" coming through Menzies or Kookynie eh, bloke ;) Must be one o' dem Greenies about dere, eh bloke. Him musta wanna be voted in or summink??? Odderwise, we neber see no bugger out 'ere. Why ya wanna spend good dollar cleaning up what nobloke wanna go see ennyway, mate. Wasta good gument dollar, ya ask me.

Davoe - Nambi is N/E of Leonora. It's N/W of Laverton. Just west of Mt Zephyr. You all be careful out 'dere.

Say hallo to the White House for me and wave to The Specking Patch as you rush by.

Davoe,

There are that many spots around the places that start with "L" in which you could find gold, that it ain't funny. It amazes me the Specking Patch has been hammered fer years and yet still produces gold. Only two years ago, there was a patch found on the main track in, that yeilded several nuggets. The largest of these was about 3 ounces and yet we'd been drving over it for about 40 years! It was about 300 mtrs from the edge of the Nambi Road out of Leonora, right on the first main intersection of 2 main tracks, just below an old mine shaft. I got 2 more peices of it after every one had finished with it.

Across the Nambi road from the Specking Patch is the Rabbit Warren - we got gold off it last year. Small - but gold nevertheless.

Then of course there's Wilsons Patch about 90 kms north of Leonora. The bitumen road to Wiluna cuts right through it. Again, it's still producing gold. These are well known areas. I'm keeping the others to meself fer now ;)

Giood luck on yer trip

Bilbo
