Hi Mal,
I have an ipaq 3870 and recently bought a Navman se sleeve and software to go with it.
Sorry ladies, but it is either female, posessed or both! It works when it wants too, it just stops for no reason, however, occasionally it can be as nice as pie and will get me to my destination without a problem.
It will lockup regularly and by the time I get its brains rearranged I am at my destination.
Nice toy, but I personally will never replace this with a similar unit.
I also have the toyota navigator in my private vehicle, however this is as handy as a kick in the "jatz crackers" if you want to go off road.
Good luck,
Jeff

Hi Mal B
We have an ipaq connected to our GPS, and download the maps from the laptop. Works a treat. In 35,000kms it didn't let us down once. We bought the cables and the Oziexplorer CF stuff for the ipaq from GPS Oz. The only thing we had to amend was the size of the memory card so that we could put enough maps on it for it to be useful.
Now I can't help responding to the previous post ..... of course you are having difficulty with it, its a navMAN.
If HWMBO can give you any more information on the GPS/ipaq combo (he's the expert) send a member message and he'll reply.
Happy travels
Anni
