Hi,
I have a 2003 v8 Landcruiser and found it to be very quiet for a v8. I called everyone in the
Brisbane phone book and was told you cant make it sound any good, it is a quiet engine. NOT TRUE!!
I then spoke to Rob Bliss Exhausts. He has done lots of them. You can do the full race type or the sports muffler. I went with the sports muffler, $165.00
well spent. Sounds great when I up it, but nice and quiet at 100 km/h. I also put a HSV tip on looks good and sounds great.
Thanks
David

I have not checked the fuel, but it could only be better. I used to get 13L/100km on the open road. And about 20 towing a 17' windsor. I will
check it over the weekend.
Thanks

Gee thats good for a V8. I actually think that I'd like the quietness of the motor :)) I assume that its pretty quiet inside unless at speed ?

The noise is all out the back, inside just has a deeper tone. It gets quieter the faster you go. Not much change at 100km from before.
Thanks

Rob Bliss has done 4 of my cars.....very happy with results apart from the VS commodore, must have been a crappy off-the-shelf kit!
First was a 253 in a VH SLE, complete 2.5 system
2nd was 2in sports with Vitara Extractors in my 1600 16V swift motor Sierra, awesome!!!
3rd was a 2.5in in the mighty MOO! What a buggar of a job but they didnt charge a cent more for 3 hours of work!!
Last was a sports system in the VS commodore, bit dissapointed, extractors were very poor quality and had to remove and file them flat after the exhaust gaskets blew.
Apart from the last, fantastic work, he is also one of the first people in
Brisbane that could make a muffler that would survive my B-in-Laws SII RX7!!
Would still recommend him for doing anything out of the ordinary, you know, too-hard-basket for others!!!
Matt.

Dave
Do yourself a favour...buy some extracters for it...tight trousers will follow.
I have a set of original manifolds off a v8, and they are pathetic...4 small pipes into one trunk like pipe each side...just like the old fj holden, only in stainless instead of cast...why (you ask) do i have these??? I bought them off ebay for $1 to get some stainless studs for my 80 series....couldnt believe what i saw when they arrived....have a peak under the heat shield.
