I went there with some mates as a teenager (so long ago but the old mind can still recall it - I think) - great place - one of the best gorges' in the lower Flinders on that property - beats Warren I'm told - we trekked one day to the western end - sat on a hill and looked down over the plain north of Port Augusta - we were looking over the rail line to Leigh Creek - could see the lower end of Lake Torrens - hell... I wanna go back ! Though... we did get heat stroke at one stage - we knew bugger all about camping then - and it was January ! There is an Argadells shop at Quorn - selling crafty things. Same people.

Hi Haysie,

Been there lots of time over the last few years. Ownership changed about 15 months ago. New owner seems keen to keep it going for the 4wding. Has built a few loos etc in the camp areas. Its a nice place to spend a weekend.

Cheers
Phil

Haysie,

I went up to Mt. Arden a couple of years ago. You can see Wilpena from the top. I have a couple of photos on the site just to wet the appetite. Dont remember seeing any sheep though.
