Hi Peter, Don't know specifically which one you're refrerring to but my folks had a 12V cooler that they bought from somewhere like Kmart or Repco (can't remember) for keeping their shopping/drinks/picnics etc cold. Even used it on their first around Oz trip and generally gave it a fair old flogging. Paid less that $100 and worked
well for 18mths or so. They reckoned they'd had their moneys worth, so the went straight out and bought another one. Mel.

We've got one of the Waeco 36 litre Tropicool one's (same principle). As they draw a high current constantly it's best to only run them when the car is running.
We find it works great when the temp is below 26 degrees, but the stuff you put in it must be cold to start with.
In summer we add those blue frozen block things and find it is still better than using a normal esky.
We now also have a 68 litre EvaKool fridge/freezer, but still use the cooler when we don't have room to take the fridge.
