I was told by a dealer in Perth that Magellon no longer sells Mapsend - which I though was being used to load up non-Magellon maps (eg oxiexplorer, scanned maps). Is MapSend sthe only way to do this ? Or have I misunderstood - ie what is used instead.

Magellan's Discover Aus streets and Tracks is the current software.
Map send has been out for years.
Just wait a bit there is a new version of Discover Aus due very soon apparently.
May 05 I have heard, maybe someone can confirm this for us.

I use Mapsend it is the name of the company that made the maps. It has been replaced by Discover Aust.

Mapsend is not a program for uploading to Magellan. I load Mapsend maps onto the SD card by simply loading the SD card onto my desktop with a multi card reader, then I drag the maps from Mapsend to the card. The whole of Australia fits on a card and takes about 1 minute to do. I presume Discover Aust would be the same.
