Brian,
If you use Oziexplorer or a GPS I have just uploaded a plot and waypoints to the trip planning (digital data) section of this web site.
THe park has some steep sections but nothing too bad,
campsite is OK but it may be a bit dry right now as there has not been much rain there.
Tracks are OK and achievable by any 4wd with low range.
There is another plot file which I uploaded before from a different trip to the area.
THere are a couple of campsites but one is quite small (the one near the
river crossing)

Brian,
we were there on the anzac day long weekend. Its very dry out there. We stayed at the sink and while the creek had water it was not flowing very fast.
The beach looked like a nicer
camp site but it was suffering from lack of water as
well.
the tracks are fine. We had an x-trail with us and it got through ok.

If it gets wet while you are in there you don't want an AWD or be towing anything, as has been said there are some quite steep bits and while they are stony the clay can get very slippery when wet.
