The NISSAN Patrol Club of NSW has formally postponed the NISSAN Trials due to an immediate and severe fire risk. There are fires currently burning north of the land, the NSW RFS Commissioner has issued an extreme fire danger and a total fire ban of all fires is in effect. The weather trend for the weekend continues to be extreme with an expected 38 degrees celsuis day on Sunday.

Currently Windsor Police Station has advised me the Putty Rd is totally closed to all traffic in certain areas and it is unknown when the road will be re-opened. Communications with Hawksebury Fire Control and the RFS indicate the road will be closed for a substantial amount of time and the fires are expected to worsen given the weather trends for the weekend.

We would appreciate the community support the club by helping to pass on this message.

The NISSAN club is totally committed to running the event at a later occasion, when this threat has past. Current ballparks might include Feb / March 2003 but this is still a very rough date.
