camping mitchell river

You will find others who have posted info in here in the achives section.
We have camped on the Mitchell (twice now) just down from Mt Mulgrave Station.
Great camp spot.
We came in from Normanton, Dunbar and came out just north of Laura both times.

If coming from that way the Gilbert R is another nice camp spots with high riverbanks, keep a lookout for crocs.

Best bet is to call into a station H/S and ask.Big signs up everywhere stating no camping,trespassing etc.We did a couple of years ago and the station owner/worker drew us a map to a beautiful camp spot by the Mitchell River.
