I've recently purched a poptop caravan and have been advised to have a pressure vent installed for the inevitable dirt roads. Has anyone had experience with these things..good, bad/installation advice. Thanks. Swaggy

swaggy,
i bought a large scupper vent from Camec for $77. a lift up waterproof vent that pressurises my ute canopy keeping out dust when moving. so far seems to work ok. do a google and follow links RV's and then vents. some people us rotary vents but i got yhe impression they are mainly for air circulation when stationary. most caravan spares suppliers have this sort of thing

Hi Swaggy,

I have one on my Windsor Rapid van, works really well. Would not be without it!!!

Just got to remember to open it when on dirt roads, otherwise the van gets some dust in. But remember to close it if its raining - no dust anyway, but certainly directs water in!
