Hi all

was tosing ideas around with a mate on the weekend and he was talking about putting a mini spool in a diff. Don't know much about it and have'nt heard of being used in 4by's. Are they any good or would I just be wasting money, I was lead to beleive that a quiet cheap in comparision to a lsd.
Any thoughts or comments

Have just read on another forum that these are illegal.
This may have just killed the idea.

A mini spool is like CIG locker!! Negates the spider gears and just makes your diff solid.

Great for straight lines, impossible for corners! Useless for any real 4WD, only good for a bush basher that never gets drivin on a road.

Hence why they might be illegal!
