Well another Bendethra gathering has been and gone and for those who came seem to have a good time i know Mick and i did.

Mick & I arrived about 10.00am and setup camp then made the fire and had lunch as we finished lunch Paul and Howard arrived around 12.30pm, after they put up camp we did a firewood recky up the Dampiar fire trail and on returning the rest of the group had arrived Allan, Jezza, T-Bone and Colin.

It was a very relaxing weekend sitting around the fire talking and consuming fine wines and beer, with most of the 4WDriving was done coming in and going out, we had a tour around the valley campsites and a little tour on a fire trail at the end of the valley which was a deadend then back to camp where everyone packed up and went home.

I hope we can do another gathering again and meet more of the NSW EO crowd, it was a pleasure meeting new people and hopefully more people can come next time.

The attendees;

G"day Baz,

tried to get to this one but big weekend already. Could have been a good one too, I see Jezza (one of my old nicknames) has a couple of kids around the age of my two eldest (girl 6 1/2, boy 3 1/2,) they probably would have had a ball. Oh well, will keep it in mind for next time Jezza.

Hi Bushfix,

Yep, the kids had a good time (many thanks to those for making them feel welcome and part of the group) - I also have no doubt that the kids would have got on like a house on fire (or should that be tent on fire!!), perhaps next time.

This was our first EO gathering and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time - likeable and interesting people, challenging driving and beautiful surrounds, what more could you ask for?

BTW - Thanks to Allan for stepping up at the last moment to finish off organising the trip, well done.

Cheers,
Jeremy

Yeah, ditto. It's a beautiful piece of the country, and it was good to finally put some faces to names... Thanks again to Brad for his initial organising effort and Allan for taking over the reigns...

T-Bone.

Yeh, sorry I missed it, but my kids would have had a ball too. (Boy 6.5 and girl 4).

Looking forward to the next trip and trying to go on long weekend.

Jason.
