I am I insensitive,

How about stickers that say....

Please don't leave your children unattended behind any vehicle ....or ....

Cars Trucks & 4wd should be banned as they are a danger to cyclists....

Warning colliding with a well built vehicle is a danger to your health.

Sorry I am just having a bad day dealing with the governement redtape at work..

I reckon they should erect billboards in the city and along shopping strips saying:

If you step out in front of a vehicle, you will probably DIE!!!

How simple is that???

Saw this one yesterday

A bullbar in the bush is worth more than a pedestrian in the city.

There always were plenty of nags and whingers around.

The difference now is that the media is making more use of them to MAKE news.

I remember when I was at Qld uni and the local rags used to regularly beat up university students.

As well, a lot of our taxes goes into providing salaries and/or forums for nags and whingers. What about the federal Office of Women with Status (sic) - should be called the Office of Middle Class Women Who Network at the Hilton.

Maybe it would be a worthwhile thread to list some of editors' favourite subjects that they regularly drag out for a spin when the news is a bit down. It is lazy journalism.

Another option would be a thread on publically-funded NAG & Whingeing organisations.

Corby has done all a service by keeping 4X4s and bullbars out of the news - but these subjects will come back.

ev700 ,

The 4wd bagging by the press is like the gun debate of a few years ago .Then , any gun owner was labelled a red neck - remember that ?

4wd owners are being labelled red necks now . IT'S OUR TURN .

Willie .

I cannot see how pedestrians should add to the "Vehicle" road toll stats..There should be seperate stats for them "Road Toll" & "Pedi Toll" .If the drunken pedestrian staggers over a road/railcrossing,gets hit by train, thrown into path of a Kenworth..Bet they load the "Kill" onto "Road Toll" not the Rail Toll" as it gives them another reason to "drop the speed limit" "Increase $ Penalties" "Raise the points deducted re licence"..So maybe there should'nt be a road toll but instead a "V O Toll" (vehicle occupant)..Of course,as vehicle drivers have RBT,so should pedestrians,to show if they are component to cross the road..Whew! Glad I got that off my chest...Have fun! RockyOne!MPG:6!
