Friend of mine is rebuilding a 60 series Landcruiser. Ever wondered what's really involved with making a rust bucket into a decent vehicle ? No wonder there are so many Fritzs in Britzs :)) They come here for the sun, and the challenge of 4wding. And if they can't come, they do this in their spare time.

Sorry BUT...

It looks like they stole a street sign for a roof and dont mind doing work under an unsteadily jacked up vehicle being manned by a drunken person.

It does not do the sport justice.

As I said. Sorry...

Fair comments and I'll have to take a closer look.

Ok I've had a reasonable look. *Ahem*
The "street sign" appears to be home made. Given any aerial coverage of the event it was actually quite different and distinctive. Note how the size of the sign exactly fits the roof, unlikely that its a street sign, and the writing is good but not of sign standard.
First glance does indicate that the Lux is only being held up by a hilift, a very unsafe practice. The fellow with his head under the vehicle should know better. Note that they have at least placed the tyre under the vehicle side in case of a sudden drop.
What on earth gave you the impression that the guy at the front is drunk ? He has some sort of drink container in his hand, but so do many motor sports onlookers in Australia.

1 out of 3 :)

Im not looking again.

I was just being a pr!ck. I've had a long and tiring day SORRY.

I could just go to sleep now and I've done nothing all day.

I am not one to complain (justly) about other people's posts. Call me and tell me to fnck off.

I was wrong.

I loved a drink when I drunk it, and I was wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

Forgive me....

Alright ... alright I had another look. : )

The street sign is not stolen.
The HIlift has the tire and the bloke has a bottle that is tooo bit to be a stubby.

It at first glance reminded me of my drunken youth and I once again blew out with no real cause.

Sorry.

Mate, yours was a fair call. That repair on the Lux looks bloody dangerous as you said. As for the rest, you may just be right, who knows ?
Not the first time I've not exactly been happy with a post of mine...it happens. Have a warm cuppa and chill out :))))))
