Gday
I've been told, that the local community closed the
Wollogorang Roadhouse on the Savannah-Way. Together with this, access to
Tully Inlet and Massacre Inlet is no impossible.
Does anybody get up to date information about this?
Cheers
Reto

Far as I know the
Wollogorang Roadhouse is privately owned and was closed by the owners. When we were there last year the owners were complaining about tourists, not really good for a business if you can't handle the clientele. It closed soon after. Didn't really think that much of the creeks/beach for the $$ they were charging anyway. You could try Hell's
Gate Roadhouse they were trying to regain access from the locals to get to the coast when we were up there.

The Roadhouse was owned by the station who set it up to help get through some hard times in the cattle business. Now the cattle business is firing again they've shutdown the Roadhouse and access has been closed.
