Having just bought a new vehicle, I would like to use a program to record the vehicle details, insurances, maintenance, fuel etc. in an orderly manner. Are any other Exploroz readers using such programs?

I have just downloaded three programs from the States: CARCare, VRS Plus and Automotive Wolf. CARCare and Automotive Wolf each cost US$29.95, which with bank charges, equates to about Aus$60.00. VRS Plus is free for up to three vehicles. I will be having a closer look at these programs over the next few weeks and was wondering if any other
Exploroz readers knows anything of them. Are there any other programs available, preferably Australian, and also cheaper or even free.

I have never seen a vehicle maintainence program that suited our needs.
We use a spreadsheet and works well and does what we want.

Jim,

I just use an MS Excel workbook to track all my expenses.

As I have a novated lease through my work and the maintenance is budgeted, I need to keep the salary managers in check and make sure they're not trying to rip me blindly (like the time they failed to pass on a 3.8c/L BP fuel discount my employer had arranged).

I track all expenses, kilometres for FBT purposes, maintenance schedules, fuel consumption trending, costs per km, etc, etc.
