With bushfires up that way, you maybe in luck.
No fires will make the place fullhouse...

Plenty of good
places up that way Rob.
Sheepyard Fley would have to be the most popular...head out of
Mansfield towards Mt Bulla...as you come out of Merrijig, you'll see a road on your right signposted Sheepyard Flat...it's dirt all the way in but easily accessible with 2WD. Travel 17 km's and there you will find the concrete slab
bridge...the entrace to Sheepyard Flat.....you have two options at this point....go left and you have a series of 'flats' with an abundance of
camp site along the magnificent Howqua River....or if you go right you will end up at Frys Hut....on this route you must stay right (don't turn left at the
fork which is about 3km's away)...great spot for the kids...has
toilets and a bloke who visits each morning with ice, bread, milk and the morning paper....how good is that!
Enjoy your weekend Rob..!!!

With the Mt Buller cup in the area over the weekend the place will be packed. The only advantage I can see is that your neighbors will be so close you can share tent pegs :-)) Would love to share some of our local quiet spots, but then they wouldn't be quiet any more. Have fun.
Cheers Craig...........
