Rig Photos

These are my own thoughts but I think that the Rig Photos are getting out of hand and this site might end up like the other ones.

Personally I would like to see only photos taken by or on the behalf of the members.

Keeping it on a trip or 4wd theme is what this site is about and I think that the Rig photo should reflect this.

Some of the rig photos are very clever and there would be a place for them but not on this site.

THESE ARE MY THOUGHTS. You have the right to agree or disagree.

I would like to see real Rig Photos.

Gramps,

I know this will cause a lot of debate, but I think it was getting out of hand.

Nice Rig Photo.

Wayne,

No problem mate. I only used the previous pic to give a chuckle to some of those who have had a dig at my attitude on various subjects.

Laugh with me or at me, I don't care as long as we're laughing :))))))

Always Jimbo. Wayne is expressing his view that he wishes everyone to conform to what he likes and that's ok with me. Personally I believe in the freedom of expression and individuality within reason and without offence. Is there some problem ?

And I love the way you express yourself with your rig pic. That's one sensational Tijuana Brass. Who does it belong to?

Yeah but thank god they're not all like that though, it's hard enough keeping my eyes on the road as it is. I don't know the owner, with an asset like that we most likely move in different circles.

Same could be said about your photo Wayne, it looks like you've put that on as a bit of fun, that is unless you drive around in a bath tub when your,

Redback,

Yes it was fun, but it is a real Photo taken by a real person with a real life subject. :-) taken on a trip.

The animated ones get a massage across, like the one you have displayed. This has put your thoughts across in a way you wish to do so and that is fine. I just don't think they should be used a Rig Photos.
They have nothing to do with the person that puts them on. Unless this is a likeness of you.:-)).

Sometime driving the Troppie is like driving a bath tub.

Redback made the comment I would have Wayne.

Mine was modded last night if you actually looked at the file to animate the graphic. It will be on a little while only. I had a real laugh at gramps one he has as I do thinking of your rig. I think now most people look to Moses the Nissan as the the character and now he has Moses the icon as a representation. I think all the Rig Pics are icons of their membership minds. I can remember a couple of years back one member used pictures of fine china.

I enjoy your sense of humour gramps. Just wish you would have a capital G at the front as I keep on having to correct my typing. LOL

Moses in my pic has a bit more hair than me, otherwise the beard looks about right. Heather suggested I should post a pic from the Gawler Ranges - me showering in front of (Nissan) Moses..

I am amused that some of the folks who don't pay their $50 or $30 want to have a say on the Members Rig Pics..

hahaha that's a worry. There's a few on this site with my twisted sense of humour. Fixed the G by the way. Always meant to do that :))))

Steady on with the shower scene. That would really get the Moderator button in a tizz :)))) I found some risque gifs last night, bloody funny, but thought it might be pushing a friendship.

There, but for the sake of a spare $50 (that SWMBO did'nt know about) go I so I can't comment LOL

Thanks Gramps.

Actually Heather told me I should become a member a while back as I was spending so much time here. Next time around - the renewal is lower than the joining.

The shower scene would hardly get the Moderator button pressed afraid. I don't really look to be advertising ;-)

Hi Richard
Willem is quite busy at the moment catching up on quite a bit of writing for his web site that he should have done years ago.
He is also preparing for a few big trips later this year.

Don't know about Spinfex????

Don't worry he will be back when he is ready.

Cheers

I can see where Wayne is coming from to a point, most people would be more interested in what others drive, but hey, it's a free world!

The thing that annoys me the most is the hijacking of threads & turning them into almost a chat room. Maybe there could be an ExplorOz chatroom where people could go to discuss the more personal issues, & leave the threads for constructive comment.

I think you can put anything you like in your rig pic (within reason of coarse) i think it shows a persons personality, as in, the weirder the rig pic the more that person shows they don't take life so seriously.

Remember we are here for a good time as well as talking 4WDs and trips and fridges, and tyres and Fitches, LOL.

Oh i forgot yes that is me, a dead ringer in fact. :-)~
