i cant get my brake controller to power up, i have a year 2000 chevy ck 2500, any and all assistance is appreciated

Have you got the wiring correct. The colour of the wiring on those is different to normal. Did you have a wiring diagram?
What brand and model is the brake controller you have?
Can you provide some more details.
