Doug,
Why aren't you in bed?
(No, not a Brokeback Mountain scene).
Actually it looks like an earlier post of a similar item : I watch with interest.

I have a JVC CD player in the Car that also plays MP3s. 1 CD holds about 220 songs (all bought, music piracy is theft and wrong NO exceptions)

Never skips (not even on cape york corrugations) and wasnt very expensive at about $250 from J&B.

Music Piracy is theft and wrong - correct! But can I open a can of worms???? Puleeeaaassseee!!!!!!

I always get annoyed with the add that gets around every now and then saying "You wouldn't steal a car! You wouldn't steal a Handbag etc etc so why steal music/movies?"

There are next to no consequences for theft of music so until they make some it will continue! I know, it's almost impossible to police, this is just a thought!
Cheers

Oh, I forgot to add my disclaimer. Yep I have downloaded music in the past (when I was younger and stupider) but I don't these days. I have a lot of mp3's in the car but they'e all copies of my own CD's! ;-) Felt I should add that! ;-)

Oh well for all you anti theft people, all my MP3s are from my own CDs for my own use on my own and paid for memory stick , all my good CDs are home and safe not getting scratched and rubbed , just load up a new lot when ya want, i guess this is getting away from 4x4 stuff a bit but then it's used in one

Scoey if the reason that it is OK to be a law breaking thief is because you probably wont get caught then go for it. Teach this to your kids as well if you have any, "Kids its OK to break the law if there is not much chance of getting caught." That’s what we need in society.

For the record it is actually against the law to copy a CD to an MP3 player, or other medium even if you own the CD. Australia is pretty much the only country where this is the case. Even in the US it is considered a fair use. This is a very very stupid law.

But once again if you disagree with a law just break it, ultimately its up to the individual to decide, just don bitch the next time someone flogs your car because just remember the thief probably thought he wouldn’t get caught.

Cheers

Just bought one on Ebay from some mob in melb called OzAuctions.

Should be here in the morning. A quick install and then we're off. I'll let you know how it goes when we get back.

For $107 I didn't have a lot to lose.
