Have all the ZD 30 motors to blow been Patrols? I only seem to recall one person on here at least relay that a Navara TD had blown...If this is indeed correct, why is it so?

Would it be due to a different turbo unit? Would the Navaras non variable vane turbo be the significant difference or have I missed something somewhere?

I'd say you would be about right.
No variable vane turbo means no overboosting which means less EGT.
Just my opinion though not that I would know much.

Thanks 120, thought the question would attract a bit more response really considering the historicals of the ZD30
