Hi Folks,

Just had my dual air-con serviced by Kar Air in FTG melbourne,

They did a nice job and were reasonably priced, workshop was spotless clean and net and tidy and charged me $99-00 which I thought was very good

manager is Andrew Robertson , phone is 03-9752 4122

I was just a "blow in" customer had not been there before but was impressed

Hope this helps someone

Hi No 1,

The system was not working when I took it to them,

They removed the old gas and fitted new gaskets and then pressure tested and re-gassed , also inserted some green fluro dye in cas of any leaks.

I had not had it re-gassed in three years, according to them 50% of the gas had leaked out over this period...which i think is most likely to be true as the system had been slowly getting worse to the point it was just not coolong at all..

It took them about 90 mins to do the work.. Seemed like a fair deal to me.. what do you think??

Its running like an ice box now! :-)

seems very reasonable considering it wasnt working prior.
50% of gas had leaked out would explain that! but they obviously found the leak (well i hope they did) as they replaced gaskets?

if its working ok leave it alone...they use same componentry to us ( any refigeration co) meaning that it Does Not Require Annual Re-gassing....unless something is untoward
