When I turn the ignition on, the red glow indicator light comes on and then turns green and the motor starts easily. Recently the green light will stay on for 30 seconds after starting. As I drive off the glow plug relay begins to chatter and the glow indicator light comes on - sometimes red sometimes green. On throttling back it will turn green. Does anyone have any ideas on a remedy?

Not sure what it could be.
Just been through the glow plug circuit on the Pajero.

At a guess it could be the timer in the relay or the temperature sensor.

I found most of my problems came from bad/corroded connections in the control system. Had to replace a couple of connections.

Have you put a multi meter on the glow plug bus bar to see if current is actually being supplied when the light flashes on? Is it just in the light indicator circuit, short or something?

Thanks, I'll check all connections.
I've noticed today that with the revs up the light goes out. I'm wondering if the voltage regulator is a bit dicky. I'll check the bus bar as you suggest first.
