When I bought my 1984 hilux which I still have the full Toyota repair manual was purchased from the Toyota dealer. The old girl still gets used every day around the
farm and being a dual cab the
farm dogs reckon the back
seat is very comfy.

Stephen,
The latest one I can remember seeing was for 2001 at www.haynes.com.au site and in stores.
You may be able to source a later model from overseas by searching on here or monstering your local dealer.
I believe it is called a Tacoma in the USA and I use the following as a guide for info for my 2004 model.

Al,
Thanks very much for the links, been trying to find the electrics for my 03V6 [not wanting to spend $400 with Toyota].
Do you think describing a Oz singlecab trayback as a Tacoma would get me the correct airbag
suspension from the US? [Tried this ? on another site but looked like not many users of airbags on luxs.]

Eng,
Mate, I am definitely not what you'd call mechanically minded. I did a bit of browsing and from what I could see, the Tacoma was the closest match to the Hilux. I think the model released over here in '05 was released in the USA in '04. Their '03 model seems to closely match my '04 Lux. So you can see this is not necessarily a technically 100% match :)))
As far as the airbags go, I looked on www.ride-rite.com and got totally confused as they appeared to have three (3) different types (Ride-Rite, Coil-Rite and Sport-Rite) but checking the model numbers for a Tacoma 4x4 ended up with the same product number (2304).
Luckily I don't have to do anything about it for a while yet. Hopefully some far more knowledgable person will come along and provide some wisdom.
Regards
