OK I think I have picked up some clues on this one, but not enough to get it right.
Now just bear with me here
Point # 1
In Post 32876, Sarg was commenting on incorrect spelling in a previous pic, and at Follow Up 5 of 7 posted 14 Apr 2006 at 07:19 - (Follow up ID: 421979)
Laura B posted this follow up
"the latest comp IS correct spelling just to let you know..... "
.......................................................................................................................
Point # 2
The previous comp was picked on 13 Apr 2006 at 20:50, so that leads me to think that
Laura B knows where it is if she could make a statement like she did on 14th Apr as per Point # 1 above.
.......................................................................................................................
Point # 3
In Post # 32911,
Laura B give a clue that she is from North Nowra
.......................................................................................................................
Point # 4
The guesses is now over 100 and the clue is "It is in NSW"
.......................................................................................................................
So fellow Explorozers, could it be that
Laura B is the contributor and as she is from North Nowra, and the pic is in NSW, it is possible the location of this pic is somewhere on the south coast, maybe around Jervis Bay.
Just a thought. Maybe on wrong track, but I guess time will tell.

Hey
Sherlock,
You could be onto something here. Problem is, I'm a banana bender and have no idea of any of the beaches down that way except Tuross Heads......mmmm maybe worth a guess.
Regards Mr
Livingstone.

Yeah but looking at
Laura's other post of her trip plans she obviously travels a bit. It could be you're all on a different track.

Yep cruiser, worked out Thursday night that the current pic could have been submitted by
Laura B by her comment in post 421979 and already knew she comes from Nowra NSW. I have entered almost every place in the surrounding areas, but not YET the right one!
However (clue #5) the main clue I found was that Jervis Bay and adjoining beaches claim to have the whitest sands in Australia.

Looking at the Flat sea and the makeup of the sand looks like a NQ beach or North Australia.
But I really don't know.
Good luck

I am constantly amazed at the number of people who enter this competition who dont realise that the name has to be exact case.
For example, the last 5 guesses at the time of writing this post were "Callala Point in NSW, Swan
Lake in NSW, sussex inlet beach in NSW, Culburra-Oriental Point in NSW, Hyams beach in NSW"
Despite the fact that immediately above where you put the entry it says "Type your answer using correct case (a place name is a proper noun), and yet we have at least 2 of the last 5 with incorrect case.
Dont know if people dont
check their typing or just dont read what is needed.

How sad is that two grown men are spending Easter trying to crack a competition.
Look, it has been won. Yahoo

However, take comfort in the fact that we have been totally bamboozled by the Guru of Geographic Place Names (Gillian L) and obviously her up and coming apprentice Laura B.

Callala Beach?. But nobody tried it. My kids have a hat each now. I wish there was an option to guess but receive no prize. I like guessing but I really don't need any more prizes......Anyone want help with the next pic? ha ha ha

Gillian L,
I would firstly like to say, congratulations yet again, however, I have to say so it is on the record, I tried
Callala Beach and it came back as INCORRECT.
Dont know what the criteria is for getting it right and being awarded the prize, but something is wrong when I can guess it correctly and still be wrong.
Oh well, on to the next one.

Laura B,
I knew you were the contributor, all the clues mentioned at beginning of post pointed to it.
Might just take you up on that cuppa one day. Havent been down the south coast past Nowra for 27 years (although I was in
Gerringong 4 years ago) and the area is high on my list of
places to go and just waste a lot of time.
See you some time.
