G'day All
A question for any tyre dealers reading this; my Patrol is going to need some new tyres within the next 6 months, and I was wondering with the way world oil prices are spiralling upwards, is a sharp rise in tyre prices coming soon? Should I buy them now and stick them in the shed for 6 months?

For gods sake Snowy, dont give em any ideas on this, It will be bananas all over again........
Tyre prices will go up, they usually do (the howard/costello effect at work), but a sharp increase, who knows.
I bought tyres for the crumpledore the other day, same tyres as 5 yrs ago, $6 each cheaper than last time and oil is roughly $40 a barrel more now than back then, so who knows. Tyre manufacturers/dealers in the case of 4x4 tyres charge whatever the market will pay, if they go too high people will buy something else (shinfat and the one hung low rubber company) and the price will become a bit more reasonable.
If your worried and have the dollars, and can wangle a good deal, yeah why not do it now.
