Again thanks to those who responded a couple of weeks ago on the condition of the road to
Coongie Lakes. I’ve just got back and can say the road is good, we found it an easy drive. The limiting factor on speed would be the 40kph
speed limit sign at the beginning of the road. As Ruth said, the water level is too low for canoeing, though we saw people canoeing in the NW branch of the Cooper where it enters the lake.
Great spot to visit,
well worth the drive.

Water is now 150 mm across the causeway at
innamincka with a lot more water to come.
