A bad start to the week in my new D4D D/Cab Hilux.

Getting low on diesel, I called into the local and started the refuelling process. Oop's - reality check when I noticed I was using 95 ULP. 11 liters in the tank and what to do?

Like any true bloke - it was a case of never admit defeat. Reset the pump - start again with diesel, and complete the process. At least I was able to thin the petrol with 60 litres of diesel, to which I added a few mls of upper cylinder lubricant.

Total 71 litres comprising 11l of petrol, 60l diesel and a touch of UCL, and to date (touch wood) no problem's. At least I know my new 'Lux doesnt have a firm preference, and will drink anything you throw at it.

If your economy goes bad in the near future at least you'll know what it is - unleaded eats diesel injector tips........maybe not with the mix ratios you've quoted though - fingers crossed
