Thanks to all that responded to the posting we put in on the weekend. Got a few tips and a few laughs out of it. Particularly the advise of a cracker on the end of a slig-shot. That could work, collars we are too far away and can't enforce one be used and neither can the council.. A lot of the advise would be great but being 80mtrs away from the dog and no access to going onto the property, our options are very limited.
Update:
The dog is still barking after sundown till someone comes home. Non bloody Stop! This will never stop until the dog is removed from the property.
Last night pointed the speakers of our HIFI out the back door and wacked a blasting Cold Chisel on, that's cos we may as well listen to what we like and this is going to continue each evening for the duration the dog is barking to drown out the noise..............haha..
The bloke from the council went out to the property on Monday, and the Pitt Bull's are still chained to posts on the veranda, they are suppose to be in a secure enclosure being a restricted breed. so the council don't give a rats.
But the best news of all is we got a contract on our house on Saturday, so all being well, we will be out of here in 30 days!!!!!!!! LOL
Now we can't blame the owner of the dog, or the Caboolture Shire Cuncil for not coming up with a resolution, and the reason being.......... as the saying goes.

"DON'T BLAME THEM, COS THEY'VE DONE NOTHING !!!"............

Any ways if the old boy continues to put the pressure on a little longer, we may drag out the tent again for another 2+ month trip after our settlement and put our stuff in storage.
Have a good day :-)

Had a similar problems with two new neighbours (new subdivision). Went around their place at 1am (took a while to get them out of bed) and told them about their dog barking when they were not home and all night when they were home. They were very sound sleepers. Anyway they got the message. The dog is no longer a problem. With the other neighbour I just yell at the dog to shut the "hell" up.Only had to do it twice, once at 2.30am and again at 2.33am. It now sleeps in their laundry. We have two dogs and they rarely bark, mainly cause they no better. Wish we could sell our house, soon. Anyway best of luck in the new one.
