Yeah but here is my opinion...

Mudine did win on points but he did not fight the fight. It was Green taking it to him and having a go. Mundine just waited for the breaks. He will not take a world title with that approach.

anyway.. as i said. Mundine won but Green did not lose!

Nah not confused... Mudine won but I still think Green did a good job. It is just my preference is to go out there for a fight, not just to win. Still stand by my statement that Mundine will not take the title fighting that style.

Coolman, what the??
Mundine clearly outclassed Green. No matter what you think of Mundine as a person and "loud mouth" you have to admit Mundine had the ring smarts constantly making Green miss with the big shots and Mundine counter punched constantly landing big hits. If Green was any less of a man and fighter he would have been on his back long before the fight ended.

ABC web site

"Man takes out the Machine
By Sport Online's Stuart Watt

It was billed as man versus machine, speed versus power, but after 12 rounds at the Sydney Football Stadium Anthony Mundine had the bragging rights.

Mundine beat Danny Green by unanimous points decision in their blockbuster super-middleweight WBA eliminator.

Mundine simply outboxed Green, improving his overall record to 26 wins and three losses.

His victory sets up a world title bout against Dane Mikkel Kessler.

Mundine proved that Green's power punches count for nothing unless they land.

Green missed, missed and missed again.

As he tired, Mundine drew Green in and gave him a lesson in counter punching.

By the seventh round Green was on autopilot, walking forward into Mundine's jab.

The Western Australian's courage was there for all to see, but Mundine was giving him a pasting.

The longer the fight went, the more desperate Green became looking for one punch to stop the contest, but Mundine was patient and just kept picking the bigger man off.

Green's plan seemed to revolve around hitting Mundine with body shots in an attempt to negate his speed, but Mundine soaked up the punishment.

Even in the early stages every time Mundine attacked, Green's composure seemed to desert him.

While Mundine has a world championship bout to look forward to, Green's career hangs in the balance."

Go THE MAN

Richard

Gee sounds like the same thing everyone said about mundines chances against green. Green was going to smash him and shut him up for good. Green fell for mundines talk like everybody else, got angry and forgot to box. People who take offence to mundines trash talk are more stupid than he is. I love it. Our local pub was absolutely packed and all because of mundine. Danny Who?

And who was the idiot that placed the Crazy Johns sticker in the centre of the ring. The number of times the guys slipped on this was amazing - and Mundine got in a cheap blow on one of them. Good return for Crazy Johns but seems stupid for a shiny sticker in a boxing ring.

I've have no interest in boxing whatsoever, but it would give me great delight to see Mundine totally humiliated in the full gaze of the public. I have absolutely no respect for that oily smear of weasel bleep in the faggy pimp suit. No class.

I shudder to think who this self professed 'aspirational role model' will influence in the future and the direction it will take all the meatheads of Australia. Seems to think because he's an abo who doesn't drink or smoke that he should receive a knighthood. The fact that he's a complete wanker and a lippy thug seems lost on him.

Don't matter how tough you are, there's always someone tougher (or smarter).

Nothing like that mate. Don't try and pin that one on me.

I just don't see any attributes that makes mundane the 'role model' that he so proudly and loudly calls HIMSELF. Sprouting off some mindless 'follow your dream' dribble to provide a cheap commmercial media soundbite or being photograhed with an unfortunate kid is not 'inspirational', it is just marketing 101 designed to appeal to the 'less bright' crayons in the pack (much like himself).

His public islamic stance defending acts of terrorism lowers my opinion of him even further.

Simple truth is that he is a dumb, violent thug and ego maniac who unfortunately has a legion of impressionable followers.

ImEasy, perhaps you could enlighten me as to what makes him a 'hero'?

You didn't. I made the assumption he'd be your hero based on the fact you labeled me as KKK sympathiser (which I found offensive BTW)

I tend to rate people who's best form of defense or preferred way to counter an argument by tagging their opponent with an 'ist' or 'ism' label such as racist, ageist, sexist etc fairly low down the ladder on discussion buddies.

Can't be bothered getting into a slinging match either way.

That had nothing to do with it. I replied because he is an arrogant, dim witted bully. I didn't argue the same for Danny Green because from what little I've seen of him, he displayed restraint, sportsmanship and good manners which is in complete contrast to that cocky smart arse mundine. Black, white, green or blue don't make a lick of difference and it also doesn't excuse him either.

The racial description of 'abo', 'aboriginal', 'indiegenous australian', 'traditional landowner' (or whatever tag is the current flavour of the month terminology is), was intended to draw reference to his interview with Ray 'Lego man' Martin where he proclaimed himself a role model citing the fact he didn't smoke or drink. If I was a politically hyper-sensitive aboriginal activist, I'd take exception to Mundine's comments anyway. I mean what kind of inference does that statement imply in the first place?

If I was going to discriminate against him, it ceratinly would not be on racist grounds. It would be on his religious and political leanings.

I would like to return your attention to my previous post ImEasy. As I said, twisting arguments around to avoid real debate by resorting to red herring PC mantra is a clear indicator of a feeble oponent 'on the ropes' and displays lack of backbone.

If you've got a point to make, make it. What do you think about anthony mundane ImEasy?

Stick a camera in someone face and you meet a differant person IMHO.

Ray Martin is a prime example.

Hey ImEasy, understand what you're saying before you say it. To dislike a black person because they're black would be racism. To dislike someone who HAPPENS to be black is not.

I find it curious that you agree with Redback in saying you shouldn't judge someone or call them names unless you've met them in the flesh. I can only assume then, as you've labelled V8Diesel a racist that you've met him in the flesh and are basing your opinion on that encounter?

Take it easy mate!

It's just about a loud mouthed feral whacko. NOTHING to do with race, nothing at all!!
Are you saying that to dislike someone of another colour (because of their character) is racist??? Suggest that if so, you need to do a little self education...

Eight big brawls in Perth (one innocent guy hit by some tanked up f***wit is now dead and the f***wit is charged with GB Harm)
At least two country towns had similar exciting nights.
Only places where the average Joe Blow could see the fight were pubs with PayTV.
