Mate your being shorted.
Old Charlie Brown last offerd me $16 million USD.

And a few of if mates have offered as high as 35 to 40 million.

I would go back and tell him to find some more as 2.4 Mill ain't enough.

Its called the Nigerian letter Scam and its being going around for years, I get maybe 2 a day of these email, I also get them by fax.

Have a look here for further info

String him along a bit, sound dead keen, and then tell him you need $200 for local stamp duty to begin the transfer - would he mind sending you the money via Western Union?

I've heard scammers out of their *own* greed have fallen for it before!

Trash it yesterday! Whatever you do, DO NOT STRING HIM ALONG! DO NOT REPLY IN ANY FORM! If you do they know you got their email so they know your addy (exactly what they want); they will get heaps of info from you reply details (exactly what they want), & your bank account will be the next target (again, EWTW!). Trash it and empty Trash NOW!

That's a bit of an overreaction. All replying does is confirm your email address is valid. Use a hotmail account you make up for the purpose - they mass mail to 10,000 different email accounts on a list they've bought, they wouldn't have a clue that it's one you've made up specifically to jerk them about.

If you think that they can somehow get your financial details or something from your email message headers, better get the aluminium foil hats out again, I think the government alien conspiracy is after you again!

If it were James Brown, that would bve a different story...
Tell him to send you a picture of him balancing a fish on his head holding a sign that says "arse bandit" as a sign of good faith.

Pity the certificate didn't come with a Reply Paid return envelope....You could have piled all your junk mail in there and sent it back.

Thats what I do with any reply paid envelope from credit card companies, banks etc etc.... Stuff their envelopes full of all my junk mail and return it to them...They only pay for the postage if you use the envelope and they can fill their bins with their rubbish instead of mine.

Another tip for those of you who get hassled by telemarketers ringing you all the time......use the 4 magic words.....

JUST ONE MOMENT PLEASE....then you place the phone down on the bench and go about your business...when you come back in 30 minutes they are gone and generally won't ring you ever again.....

Cheers....Taz
