Hi all just another question regarding the oz tent just had a look at them and was wondering if anyone has turn the awning into another room because i need the extra space to fit the kids and porta cot in and if so who long does it take to set up and does it stay as dry as the rest of the tent

To convert the awning into another room, simply...(for a price), buy the walls and front that go with and you have quite a big extra room and, as I said to someone yesterday, if you have a friend with the same size Oz Tent then you can join together, with a special joining piece to make a very large extra room between the sleeping area.

It takes about 10 minutes to setup the the extra room and it gets quicker with more practice.
It is
well worth getting the option.

Matt

would be nice if it was a one piece, three sided panel, rather than three seperate ones.
I do agree, get the extra panels, gives you 2x2 metres waterproof enclosed (tent), 2 x 2 metres dirt floor enclosed (room), and a further 2 x 2 metres awning.

I have the RV3 with the extra panels to make the awning into a room. It is not as weatherproof as the main part of the tent, but it is definitely worth it. I have the groundsheet as
well, so my awning room does have a floor. BTW we put the portacot in the awning room, with a mozzie net over it. Baby sleeps fine there, and never had any bites.

i would say about 10 minutes all up but lots of prac in the back yard should do the trick!!
