Spring Creek Track into Purnululu NP

Does anyone know if this road is open as yet. Will be there in about 4 weeks time?
Been in there before, but info given for this road on Explore Oz is not a current update.

What track do you mean??There is no track from spring creek into the Bungle Bungles.If you mean the track in from the highway,yep its open,has been for about 6 weeks,one of the guys from work went in then.

Thanks for the information on the road into the Bungle Bungles. I'm sure that it is what was meant even if the name wasn't right...at least that's how I took it..the road from the highway in to the national park.

Can you tell me what the road conditions and scenery are like travelling on the Duncan Road from Halls Creek to the Victoria Highway?

Yeah I did mean the road from the h'way into the Bungles......... Didn't realise I had the name of the track wrong. Last time we went in there (2004) was sure that was the name of the track, no big deal. I can't find any up to date info on the net at the moment, so thanks for that.

This is from Ron and Viv Moon's book on The Kimberley about Purnululu...

"Spring Creek track, off the Great Northern Highway (approx 109km north of Hall's Creek) leads to the three ways intersection in the park."

Maybe that's not what it's commonly called up there now. Glad to know it's open.

Just had a look at the Bungle Bungle map I have and yep the road in is called the Spring Creek track.The confusing bit is there is a station on the eastern side of the B.B's called Spring Creek(on the Duncan Hwy) and alot of people wonder if they can get into the B.B's from there.
