The only camping area for cars is on the Goulburn Rd, on the edge of the park. Any of the campsites other than this should be fine, if a bit cold....

NP had this to say
Abercrombie River NP

Getting there

Give us a heads up on the park when you get back. Looks like I could take the boys camping for the weekend or do a day run

It would be helpful if NPWS had a facility to download maps of each park. Parks Victoria are way ahead of the NSW mob

I usually camp at Silent Creek. The Beach and Sink are also OK. Tracks can get slippery if it rains but theres not much of that around at present.

hi b. ryan ,i went to abercrombie at easter, cold at night then, the water in the billy froze overnight, if you ring nat/parks office at oberon they will post out a good mud map of the park. i would doubt there would be to many people this long weekend it will be very cold, silent creek had no water in it at easter, the sink is good but is very shaded by the large trees and would be very cold , the beach had some water in it at easter and gets a good amount of sun to keep you warm, it is a small camp area just 3 firesides and a pit toilet, all the roads were in good condition at easter but it is a very steep area. i have a ra rodeo also, we had a great easter weekend there iam certain you will enjoy it . it is very steep but good 4 wheel driving if you head out the southern [ goulburn side] park entry. but avoid it if it has been wet!!
cheers shepo
