G'day Diamond,

Interesting post, but about 18 months too late for me as I have an EU10i and am quite happy with it :) :) :).

However I can endorse your point about Chinese copies - they are usually great.

Sometimes they are actually the original just rebadged, as lots of stuff these days is made in the PRC.

As a case in point I have a sullage pump which I bought for one third of the price of a very well known brand name. Has the same warranty and works just as well. It is made in the PRC.

The same firm also manufactures the brand name. I was told that by the dealer who sold both brands.

I lived in Hong Kong for a couple of years quite some time ago, and as a result am fully exposed to goods from PRC. It was my experience that they work as well as the so called "brand names"

I'll have a wager that you will be more than satisfied with your purchase, and it will serve you well for many years.

Enjoy the bush

Dennis

Is this a replica of the Yamaha ef1000 ? does it have one of those neat plastic molded covers with handle ?
I know should be asking Repco , but prefer to ask you b4 I start with long distance phone calls and catching then at a busy time.
