I have just bought a denco intercooler kit for my 1kz-te hilux and without much mechanical knowledge have come to a hault. Has anyone installed one of thse before? if so can you remember if the brakets for the intercooler radiator/fan unit have to be paked out from the cross member? To me this looks neccessary to clear the air-con consensor unit. Any help would be much appeciated.

Good luck with the install...
Could you please provide some sort of report when you are finished?
I've been looking at the Denco kit for my Hilux as well and would be very interested so see how you go.

Cheers,
Brett

Just finished installing kit, was harder than instuctions lead you to believe. I couldn't get the air-con pipe to move as far as required so got professionals to run one new pipe out of the way. also the components that up the intake pipe ie cast elbows and intercooler barrel together are too long and hit against brake master cylinder causing awful vibration so i haksawed a few millimetres off one of the elbows.
First drive of it finished feels good with a noticable increase in the thottle reponse as well as power. Heading away for a few weeks next wednesday so will be able to test it properly with full load. hope this helps
