Hi All,
After reading the topics on EGR valaves i have decided to fit an Exhaust Gas Temperature Gauge to my 3.0 Navara.
Does any one know, Who, Where and How much to get one fitted in or around Brisbane (prefferably south side) and how you have your's fitted and how well it works.

Cheers Col

We have the pillar pods for the GU's, and a new batch should be arriving today. If you're chasing one, give Brett a call (07) 3299 4460, and he'll put one aside for you. Also, let him know that Terry from the Patrol forum sent you. I'll be back from the comp Monday, so alternatively give us a bell then on that number.

bigcol,
Not sure if you are refering to topics you've read on ExplorOz but if so then you must have missed the advertising bit. The business you are after is Thermoguard - see their Directory Listing here for all contact details - Site Link

Can highly recommend Thermoguard. Ian was very helpful when I installed his unit in our ZD30 Patrol.
I found the unit to be very sensitive to changes in load and throttle settings, so much so that I removed it when we sold the GU, and I now have it installed in our current vehicle.
Must add for all those ZD 30 owners out there that the readings in the Nissan were on average around 100 Deg higher than our current Grand Cherokee. It may be that the higher combustion temps contribute to the burning of pistons.
Drive them gently boys they really heat up under heavy load.
Cheers
Graeme

Thermoguard do a LCD gauge.
VDO do an analogue 50mm gauge in thier black cockpit series.

Both can be sourced in Brisy. Thermoguard are in SE Qld somewhere, but seem to prefer contact by email and delivery by post.
